IMPORTANT:

If you have NEVER PLAYED this game before, click on the CREATING THE CHARACTER Book. To make a character and roll for all the attributes and characteristics of your persona (just follow the links back and forth for easy navigation).

- Under the narration of a Game Master (GM), you will act out your persona, molding your character through role-play gaming sessions, some of which last many hours of enjoyable adventure with friends.

This is an old school gaming system, holding fast to the origins of true role-play.

 

During game-play, the Game Master (GM) will narrate occurrences and instances, tests and randomized occurrences, adding in his or her own interpretation into narratives, giving life to the world of Utaemia as appropriate.

 

Players are free to build a system of trade and commerce within the safety of fortified civilizations.

 

Explore the untamed regions of Utaemia; a world granting high adventure to those bold enough to brave the secrets of its wilds.

 

In the world of Utaemia, one can possess many different circles of knowledge and power, or follow a more direct path to full class mastery.

 

Prerequisites are not heavy to the multi-classing process (though there are prerequisites).

 

The path, or paths, you take, and how your character grows, is for each player to decide. The Game Master is merely an anchor, to keep boundaries of Utaemia, narrating scenarios for the players.

 

As a warrior you wield a blade with skill, as well as manipulate the elements of air, earth, fire and water by also following the path of the Elemental Magician. You also possess the in depth skills needed to heal yourself and allies as well as skillfully survive in the wilds. Indeed, your studies can advance you in many paths of power, power unmatched by those of an ancient and fading world.

 

Learn dozens of various Trade-Skills (Weapon-Smith, Armorer, Black Smith, and many other trades of interest). If you possess the affinity for nature, there is Hunter, Trapper, Cartography, Riding skills to be learned. If you seek the mysteries of the unknown, there is Alchemy, Geological Studies, Herbalist, Apothecary and Tracker. Challenging Trade-Skills can be undertaken as well, like the adventurous Sailor. Become the ever daring Survivalist, mastering the basic needs of life with nothing but the shirt on your back.

Concerning this gaming system, and the transfer of PDF information into site pages:

1.  If you can't find the information you need on these site pages, use the PDF (for now).

     The PDF will always be available for offline play, but will eventually become the

     more simplistic information source.

 

2.  DO NOT READ ALL THE RULES and THE BOOKS. Treat game information as

     REFERENCE MATERIALS to be looked up during game-play (these will be linked).

 

3.  The Creating the Character book is a step-by-step creation of your character.

     This book will constantly evolve as new races and ideas are placed in the game.

     Click the top link in this book (the rest is self explanatory). This will be the only

     book you need to read through from beginning to end.

 

4.  The Creating the Character book is NOT in alphabetical order, but a step by step

     book for the creation of characters.  With the exception of this one, all books are set

     up as their own index (alphabetical by subject).
